About Me

My name is Tai Koester and I live in Boulder, Colorado. I enjoy skiing, biking, climbing, running, hiking, and just about anything outdoors. During the winter, I devote myself to skiing which takes up most of my life. When the snow melts, I try to find other things to do which sometimes leads to questionable outcomes. My family and friends help shape my life and make it incredibly rich and rewarding and I am thankful for all their support.

The blog title of Dirt, Sweat, Freeze-Dried Food, and Nutella is just a grouping of things that I seem to encounter the most often. After every adventure, there's grimy dirt embedded deep within my nails and disheveled appearance is certainly not aided by my sweaty, stinky clothing. On backpacking trips, freeze-dried food is an unpleasant reality at times, but I always try to slip a little nutella somewhere in my pack. Although quirky, this title works for me and I think it does well conveying what life can sometimes be like in the mountains.
